2-Hydroxy-Propyl Acrylate Chemical Structure Composition.

Uses

2-Hydroxy propyl Acrylate (2-HPA) is a hydroxyl functional acrylic monomer that forms homopolymers and copolymers and allows fast curing cycles and reduced processing temperatures. 2-HPA can be used to manufacture high performance polymers and chemical intermediates because it readily undergoes addition reactions with a wide variety of organic and inorganic compounds.

With only small quantities 2-HPA improves the product performance such as chemical resistance, crosslinking, scratch resistance, adhesion, weatherability and rheology. It can also be formulated at higher solids in coating applications.

The product is mainly employed to fabricate thermosetting acrylic coatings, photocurable coatings, photo sensitive coatings, adhesive, textile agent, paper processing, water quality stabilizer and macromolecular materials.
